This year’s card adapted from a glazed tile pattern on the gable of a house in Noel Park I originally drew as part of my 28 Drawings Later 2021 series.
Edited in Photoshop with the X dimension reduced to make it more tree-like and a star sticker added at the top. This year I switched to Vistaprint as they have more paper stock choices and more flexibility over the reverse of the card than Moo offered, who I used for quite a few years.

Day 16: Bury Road Gable
The skies were full of rain so I sheltered under an overhang at the back of Shopping City to draw the a detached building on the tapering promontory formed by the junction of Bury and Westbeech Roads. The pattern of the glazed green brick typical of the estate is more expressive here than elsewhere so I focused on the gable. The rain grew heavier and started threatening my position so I was forced to pause and complete later at home where I added the green in watercolour.
